Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Mason Childers

Optometrist

Dr. Mason Childers is very excited to be back home and taking care of patients in the Wiregrass. After graduating from G.W. Long High School in 2010, he attended Auburn University and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Wildlife Sciences degree in 2014. Dr. Childers attended the UAB School of Optometry where he graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2020 with honors. He is a member of the Alabama Optometric Association.

Dr. Childers provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. He particularly enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses, along with monitoring and treating eye diseases such as dry eye, macular degeneration, and glaucoma.

Dr. Childers enjoys spending time with his wife, Giselle, and daughter, Olivia, and their two dogs. During his free time he enjoys being outdoors as much as possible, especially during the spring turkey season.

Dr. Giselle Childers

Optometrist

Dr. Giselle Childers is originally from Miami, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2015 where she majored in Microbiology and Cell Science with a minor in Business Administration. Dr. Childers received her Doctor of Optometry and her Master of Business Administration degrees from UAB School of Optometry in 2020. She is a member of the Alabama Optometric Association.

Dr. Childers enjoys seeing patients of all ages and particularly specializes in pediatric optometry. She diagnoses and manages lazy eyes, eye turns, and other binocular vision disorders. Dr. Childers also provides emergency eye care services to manage conditions such as eye infections, ocular foreign bodies, and corneal abrasions.

Outside of the office, Dr. Childers enjoys spending time with her husband, Mason, and their daughter, Olivia. Growing up by the beach, she enjoys any chance they have to explore new beaches and nearby towns.
